Wiedenback-Brown to Join Worthy’s U.S. Electrical Services

Jul 14, 2006 11:59 AM

U.S. Electrical Services LLC (USESI), Chester Springs, Pa., the newly formed company engineered by Richard Worthy, former CEO of Sonepar North America, agreed to purchase Wiedenbach-Brown Co. Inc. effective July 19.

Headquartered in New Rochelle, N.Y., Wiedenbach-Brown is an industry leader in national account lighting and electrical supply. The electrical distributor, which ranks No. 123 on Electrical Wholesaling’s Top 200 list, has New York offices in Hicksville, New Rochelle and Hawthorne; Boston; Columbus, Ohio; Kansas City; Los Angeles; and Seattle.

Wiedenbach-Brown will retain its name and operations. The current management team, including owners Christopher Brown, Elisabeth Brown-Daley and James Leahy, president of Wiedenbach-Brown, will remain with the company.

Wiedenbach-Brown is USESI’s third acquisition. Late this spring, USESI announced acquisitions of Electrical Wholesalers Inc., Hartford, Conn.; and Monarch Electric Co., West Caldwell, N.J.
