With headquarters in Somerville, Mass., Independent Electric Supply relocated its Hudson, N.H., branch to a new 10,000-square-foot facility to give customers more convenient access to the store.

The family-owned electrical distributor was founded in 1992 with a single location, a few employees, one truck and minimal inventory. In less than 15 years, the company has grown to four locations in three states (Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine) with deep inventory, a fleet of trucks and more than 70 employees.

In the adjacent photo, Bill McLaughlin, Independent Electric Supply's Hudson branch manager, cuts the ribbon at the grand opening of the new facility. Independent's CEO, William “Skip” Gray (to the right of McLaughlin), and members of the Hudson Chamber of Commerce also attended the grand-opening event in February.
