Minneapolis-based Viking Electric Supply/Sonepar USA, recently opened a new location in Madison, Wis., its 12th location in the state and 23rd overall. The new 20,000-square-foot facility features a state-of-the-art 2,000-square-foot showroom floor and a 14,000-square-foot warehouse. “Although Viking has been calling on contractors in Madison for quite some time, there was an overwhelming feeling that in order to meet all the needs of our customers, we needed to be close and convenient to meet their day-to-day business needs,“ says Greg Hames, president of Viking Electric. “Madison is the fourth Viking location to open in southern Wisconsin in the past two years, starting with Milwaukee in January 2006 and followed by Kenosha and Delafield.”
