Brick Anchor Brew House Features Custom Chandeliers

The Chandel-Airs, says Meyda Custom Lighting, provide enough illumination for the 3,000 square foot-space with 20-foot ceilings while keeping it cool or warm depending on the season.

The name of the Brick Anchor Brew House, a popular restaurant in Norfolk, Va., was inspired by the brick building it in habits and the Navy presence of its city while also paying homage to the Anchor Bar in Buffalo, N.Y., hometown of Brick Anchor’s owner Phil Smith.

Smith worked with interior designer Rebecca Larys to create a captivating setting. Among Larys’s choices were a set of four Paloma Golpe Chandel-Airs made by Meyda Custom Lighting. The fixtures featured six downlights, six inner lights, and six uplights, and were engineered to dim according to the mood, time of day and customer desires. The Chandel-Airs, says Meyda Custom Lighting, provide enough illumination for the 3,000 square foot-space with 20-foot ceilings while keeping it cool or warm depending on the season.

“Meyda’s superlative service, combined with the great look and high performance lighting resulted in a much greater experience than I could ever have imagined,” Smith said.

The customized 48-inch wide Paloma Golpe Chandel-Air design uses a caged frame and mesh in a steel finish, for an energy-saving fixture that creates a windchill effect to keep the space cool in the summer, and is reversed in the winter to maintain warmth.
