The Wild Center, a museum showcasing nature in the Adirondacks in Tupper Lake, N.Y., recently announced the retrofit installation of the Quantum Total Light Management lighting control system by Lutron Electronics Co., Inc.
The system installed at the The Wild Center (the first LEED-Silver museum in the state) includes energy reporting software, lighting controls, dimming panels, sensors and automated shades operated by solar-adaptive software. The system manages, monitors, and reports on all the lighting's electric energy usage for optimal performance. The Wild Center's retrofit included a combination of wired and wireless devices, energy savings messages and data displayed in the Center via Quantum's GreenGlance software and integration with the museum's theatre audio and video systems
“The addition of the new lighting control system is another step in our path to continuously reduce The Wild Center's energy consumption,” said Stephanie Ratcliffe, executive director of The Wild Center. “By having such a control and monitoring system in a public place, we hope to present options to home and business owners looking for ways to reduce their costs.”
