Mayer Electric Supply, Birmingham, Ala., said its branches in the Atlanta area have been recognized by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution as a Top Workplace. The Journal-Constitution defines a Top Workplace as an organization which provides its employees with a great place to work. Mayer was selected as a Top Midsize Workplace following an extensive employee survey where the associates rated the company in six areas that include direction, execution, career, conditions, managers, and pay and benefits. The employees were also asked to provide comments about their workplace, some of which appear on the paper's topworkplaces.com website.

The specific Mayer locations recognized in this award were the Mayer branch teams in Atlanta-Fulton, College Park, Conyers, Lawrenceville, Norcross, and North Cobb, Ga.

“We are convinced that we have a great team of associates at Mayer,” said Mike Kidney, regional vice president. “Receiving this recognition is a proud moment for all of our entire team — we pride ourselves in being a caring organization and this just illustrates that commitment.”
