More than 100 sales professionals representing 70 agencies nationwide gathered last month for Nora Lighting's annual Commercial Sales Conference. Nineteen rep firms were honored for their outstanding sales achievements at the three-day event, which was held at the company's headquarters in Commerce, Calif., just south of Los Angeles, and hosted by Nora President Fred Farzan and Vice President of Sales Jeff Sessler.

The conference focused on Nora's expansion plans and new product launches, and included training seminars and an awards banquet. Nora manufactures interior lighting products for commercial, retail and residential installations, including track and rail systems, recessed lighting, multiple lighting systems, under-cabinet and an expanding series of accent lights.

“The conference was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate to our reps that Nora is investing in the future with innovative product lines and a robust marketing plan,” said Farzan. “Nora has been very successful with our recessed housing products, but we are moving very quickly into new directions. We are actively adding LED fixtures, glass wall sconces and pendants, plus high-performance ceramic metal-halide products.”

The Nora Achievement Awards were presented at a dinner reception to agencies that have distinguished themselves in outstanding sales and customer service. Rep firms recognized with awards included Electrical Sales, Seattle; Encore Sales, Maspeth, N.Y.; George E. Anderson Co., Dallas; Grand Canyon Lighting, Phoenix; KSA Lighting, Hanover Park, Ill.; John Moore & Associates., La Vergne, Tenn.; Layton Sales, Salt Lake City; Malcar Associates., Portland, Ore.; Marvin Bochner, Inc., Miami; Rice Electrical, Cincinnati; Rep Tec Inc., Midland, N.C.; Rise and Shine Lighting, Las Vegas; Stellar Sales, La Mirada, Calif.; Thomas Harris & Co., Mechanicsville, Va.; The Infinity Group, Long Lake, Minn.; The Lighting Group, Colorado Springs, Colo.; The Impact Agency, Cleveland; Tri-Lite Sales, Louisville, Ky.; and Whitehead & Associates, Atlanta.
