Rumsey Electric Supply, Conshohocken, Pa., is building on the success of the partnership it established at its Philadelphia city center branch location with plumbing and HVAC distributor APR Supply Co. The two companies are expanding together in a new location in Malvern, Pa., from which they can both better serve Chester County industrial and contractor customers in electrical, maintenance, plumbing and HVAC.
The operation, set up to offer one-stop shopping convenience through a new 15,000+ square foot retail and stocking facility will be located on Route 30 in the Great Valley Center, with easy access to the Route 202 corridor and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. In addition to having a large retail showroom, the location offers will-call pickup, a sales support center and training facility.
Their goal was to create a single desirable destination for regional industrial, facility maintenance personnel and contractors who serve both the electrical, plumbing and HVAC needs of regional businesses. This collaboration helps Rumsey and APR better serve their collective customers by creating a one-stop shopping environment with a broader array of products that their customers need — all under one roof. Customers often make purchases from Rumsey and APR separately. Now they can find a large assortment of material needed for their projects in one convenient location.
