Over 100 Shealy associates participated in the build, along with a slew of the company’s vendor partners.

Shealy Electrical Wholesalers, Charlotte, N.C., completed a blitz build of a Habitat for Humanity home in October. The build took place at Shealy Charlotte Oct. 22–25. Over 100 Shealy associates participated in the build, along with a slew of the company’s vendor partners: Southwire, Allied Tube, Cree, Juno, Intermatic/EF Lombardi, Leviton, Arlington, TNB, Hubbel Lighting, Mersen, Sylvania, RAB Lighting, LeGrand, Omni Cable, RW Chapman, Square D, and 3M.

The family that earned the home, Hinh Rahlan and Blem Rocham, worked alongside Shealy volunteers throughout the four-day build in the Shealy parking lot. The home was then moved to Reid Park, about three miles from Shealy’s Charlotte location. Reid Park was selected by Habitat Charlotte as their first Neighborhood Revitalization Initiative, “an innovative program that transforms neighborhoods using a holistic approach — connecting residents, nonprofits, businesses, local governments and communities of faith to create and implement a shared vision of revitalization,” Jana Case, Shealy director of marketing, said in a note to Electrical Wholesaling.

“This is so important to the continued success and growth in Charlotte,” she added. “Shealy is proud to align our charitable efforts with Habitat for Humanity — we believe that Habitat for Humanity embodies the Shealy charitable mission statement, ‘To serve the communities where our associates live and work.’”
