Electrical Project Engineer II – Purdue University

Work independently to resolve building electrical engineering system issues on projects. Ensure that the engineering systems of projects are executed successfully and are in accordance with the customer's desired results and the University's standards. Responsible for the following: work with project managers for resolution of electrical issues on projects; assist to resolve project problems; review engineering work of outside architectural/engineering firms; work with all members of the project team during planning, design and construction; provide post project consulting; work with the project manager regarding the scope, schedule and budget for the projects, especially as they relate to the electrical engineering systems; serve as a member of the team composed of the client, the project manager, the A/E firm, contractors, construction inspectors, contract managers, financial managers, and other interested parties. Provide guidance, direction and support to project and to resolve building electrical engineering system issues on projects. Serve as advisor/consultant/expert in the field. Mentor Project Engineer I's. Serve as primary electrical engineering resource on all capital projects. Value diversity by working effectively with people from different viewpoints and backgrounds.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Must be a Registered Professional Engineer with a minimum of four years work experience with engineering, building design and/or the construction business.
