Granite City Electric Supply Co., Quincy, Mass., has expanded in Massachusetts with the acquisition of certain assets of Pittsfield Electric Supply and Repair, Pittsfield, Mass., and Lowell Electric C&I, Lowell, Mass.

The two Massachusetts acquisitions will operate under the name of Granite City Electric Supply Co., and mark the 17th and 18th branch locations for the Quincy, Mass.-based company.

“We are excited about expanding our presence in New England and serving the Pittsfield and Lowell markets,” said Steve Helle, company president. “We will offer the same outstanding service packages that exist at our other locations. This includes overnight ‘Night Train’ delivery and 24-hour emergency service.”
