Tri-State Utility Products Celebrates 60 Years

The folks at Tri-State Utility recently enjoyed a gala celebration of the company's 60th anniversary. The Marietta,Ga.-based company is one of the largest utility specialists in North America.

Approximately 400 people recently participated in a two-day celebration of Tri-State Utility Products’ 60 years of service to electric utilities.  The event included lunch and a golf outing at an Atlanta area golf course on the first day, followed by a dinner for out-of-town guests that evening.  The second day featured a large product exposition, networking session for Tri-State’s business partners and customers, a barbeque lunch and over 60 door prizes.

In all, 27 different supplier partners participated in the event along with customer representatives from over 50 utility companies. Products discussed and displayed during the product exposition and networking event included transformers, power quality products, cable and cable accessories, numerous metering solution products, identification, structural material, maintenance and diagnostic technologies, LED lighting, grid safety and protection products, enclosures, energy storage and tools. 

Tri-State’s CFO Debbie Patterson welcomed the participants to their Marietta headquarters and introduced customer representatives who sang the national anthem and gave the invocation.  After lunch, Tri-State Chairman Wade Patterson highlighted the key events and relationships that enabled the tremendous growth and success for the company in the southeastern states of Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and western North Carolina.  Customers and suppliers then took part in the program to share their perspectives on Tri-State’s best-in-class value as a sales and service organization of technical products and electrical materials.  CEO Rusty Batch concluded the program saying, “The successful platform we stand upon today comes only from the result of the confidence of our customers, the support and commitment of our business partners and the dedication and hard work of Tri-State employees.” 

Tri-State is a regional independent business that provides engineered products for the electric utility market. In addition to its headquarters location in Marietta, Ga., Tri-State has sales and stocking locations in Havana, Fla., and Pell City, Ala. The company is ranked #86 on Electrical Wholesaling’s 2016 ranking of the largest electrical distributors in North America. The company was the subject of an Oct. 2013 cover story in the magazine - "The Power of Exclusivity."
