National lighting co-op Lighting One has launch a line of light bulbs available in 120V and 130V formats. Packaging is designed to create unity with other Lighting One collateral, and to support the current Lighting One brand-building endeavor.

Manufactured by Amercian-De Rosa and Satco Products, the private-label light bulbs ship directly to Lighting One members.

“The Lighting One private label bulb and fixture programs provide the individual lighting showroom an unprecedented opportunity to develop a sense of identity,” said Michael Jackson, vice president and national sales manager for American-De Rosa. “Lighting One is combining these private-label-product programs with integrated display and marketing programs that can expand this sense of identity from something very localized to a true national presence.”

The co-op is also recommending that their members provide these bulbs for all builder project deliveries. “The bulb boxes used on home deliveries act as constant silent salespeople to their contracts, electricians and homeowners,” said Ken Freedman, Lighting One vice president.

Lighting One estimates members can add $150,000 in annual advertising value by selling the bulbs in their showrooms.

Founded in 1999, Lighting One currently includes more than 85 independently owned showrooms in more than 35 states. Lighting One was acquired in May 2001 by CCA Global Partners, a $6 billion international home-furnishings and flooring organization with ten divisions. CCA Global Partners' largest division is Carpet One, with over 1,400 stores in six countries.
