Riding the Rainbow in Renewables

Bruce Hammett, president, WECS Electric Supply Inc., a specialty distributor focused on the wind and solar markets, comes to work every day and sees the famed Palm Springs wind farms just down the road from his office in North Palm Springs, Calif. Over the years, he has sent Electrical Wholesaling several terrific photos of the wind farms in his neighborhood, but this one takes the cake. Said Hammett in an email accompanying this photo, “Untouched photo taken 8 a.m. in Palm Springs area looking west where WECS is now involved in commercial solar farming… Storm coming in from west coast brought wind and clouds toward the valley. High winds blow out the clouds, but brings in sprinkles from miles away. Morning sun in east creates the rainbow.”
