Appletonelec.com recently took on a new look. The Web site of Appleton Electric, Skokie, Ill., aims to provide a sharper presentation of the company's product offerings and technical resources. Updated graphics, better organization of sections and an improved ease of use are some of the changes. It is the first redesign of the site since 1996.

"We've combined the best of the past with an updated, fresh look to create a more appealing and informative site," said Helaine Meyer, marketing communications manager for EGS Electrical Group, the parent company of Appleton Electric.

According to Meyer, changes to the site were based on customer feedback. The new design incorporates a more readable typeface along with navigational devices to make it easier for visitors to move throughout the site.

The revitalized site offers visitors several new sections including a tech resources link, more in-depth product specifications and links to other EGS brand Web sites.
