Blue Egg Launches Site for Green Building Info Jun 1, 2007 12:00 PM Blue Egg, a New York-based new-media company devoted to sustainable living, launched a Web site called Green Building Blocks, www.greenbuildingblocks.com, as a resource for building and design professionals committed to sustainable home construction and green remodeling. Through a partnership with Building Green Inc. (BGI), the site will feature more than 1,900 environmentally preferred residential building products reviewed by BGI's experts. Green Building Blocks is “the only site offering a comprehensive set of resources to help builders grow their practical green skills, showcase their work, discover green products and find green partners,” according to Patti Purcell, co-founder and president of Blue Egg. “Green Building Blocks makes it easy to keep an eye on national trends while also staying on top of the latest regional practices.” According to a recent survey, 61 percent of architects, engineers and contractors say they need to learn more about green products, and 49 percent say they want details about other builders' green projects in order to better serve their customers.
