Capital Lighting Helps Customers Escape

Dec 1, 2007 12:00 PM

The event planners and marketing people at Capital Lighting & Supply (CLS), a subsidiary of Sonepar USA based in Alexandria, Va., have been busy treating customers to all kinds of fun through philanthropic fund-raising events, customer-appreciation parties and a customer-incentive program CLS calls “Great Escapes.”

The Alexandria, Va., branch sent a contractor fishing with a new rod-and-reel combo set and a stocked tackle box. The company's Dover, Del., and Richmond, Va., branches hosted tailgate parties and pit tours for their customers at NASCAR race events. CLS's Baltimore location, meanwhile, hosted a golf tournament and raffle that raised money for a local adoption agency.

The Great Escapes program allows customers to earn points toward prizes and getaway packages, including trips to NASCAR races, a deep-sea fishing trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, and an all-expenses-paid trip to Nashville, Tenn.
