American Insulated Wire has some grand celebrating to do-it's 75 years young! The Pawtucket, R.I.-based company is offering three product promotions that will run through the end of September 1999. These promotions are centered on American's new 75-ft, All-American outdoor extension cord to commemorate the company's 75th anniversary.

The All-American cord is available as 14/3 SJTW UL/CSA; its jacket is white with red stripes and blue connectors. The 300-V extension cord is weather-resistant (-50 degrees C. to 105 degrees C.) for indoor and outdoor use for medium duty applications. The flexible cords are resistant to weather, water, acids, chemicals and solvents. The All-American cord set can be displayed on gondolas or in dump bins to promote impulse purchases at the counter.

Distributors purchasing 11 All-American extension cords will receive the 12th one free along with an easy-to-set-up portable dump bin, including a header sign to attract customers.

If American's customers purchase $1,000 worth of cord sets, including but not limited to Tru-Rubber, Wild Wire, temporary lighting, or Pro-Line cords, they will receive a free box of six All-American cords.

With a purchase of $2,000 or more of American Mustang specification-grade portable cord, distributors will receive 2 All-American cords free. Americans UL/CSA American Mustang SOOW is used for tough, demanding applications and provides double O protection ("OO"), an oil-resistant jacket and oil-resistant insulation.
