Colonial Updates Klein Counter-Area Displays Nov 1, 2010 12:00 PM Colonial Electric Supply, King of Prussia, Pa., teamed up with local manufacturers' rep agency Joseph E. Biben Sales Corp. and Klein Tools to improve the appearance of its counter locations across Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey. Klein reps and the Colonial sales team have been creating plans to “reset” the Klein wall in each counter location. This includes filling any necessary gaps in inventory, re-designing the wall to create a more aesthetically pleasing display, and changing the wall's color to orange to attract the customer's eye. Colonial is excited to announce the fresh new merchandising of their Klein areas and the more enjoyable shopping experience it will bring to their customers. Colonial has found success in similar merchandising ventures in the past with results of an initial 60% boost in sales, and hopes these statistics will prove true again. Under the current economic conditions, sales may be down, but customer expectations continue to escalate. Re-merchandising the branch's counter areas several times throughout the year gives customers the change of scenery that they crave, and helps them to notice products that may have otherwise gone overlooked, said Colonial. Colonial Electric has found that its customers love tools, and now with these new walls they can easily touch and demo the products they're interested in. Colonial finds that creating exciting counter shopping experiences helps to boost sales, chatter and excitement at the counters. “At first I wasn't sure how much of a difference these ‘resets’ would make, but my store looks great, and my customers love it,” said Colonial Electric Supply's Wilmington Branch Manager, Frank Long. “They're finding themselves drawn to the bright orange wall.” Acceptable Use Policy blog comments powered by Disqus |
