Have you ever entered a Web contest? Have you ever won? Richard Martin's chance to win was less than 1 in 10,000, but as the saying goes, “You can't win if you don't play.” Martin, senior vice president of Capitol Electric Co. Inc., Portland, Ore., won his new Ford F-350 by logging onto gesupply.com and registering for the truck drawing during the Web site's promotional launch last year. He entered the contest at the annual National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) convention in Seattle last September.

“My wife and I are enjoying the new truck,” Martin said. “Everything with regard to the contest, ordering the truck and GE Supply's generosity have been a very pleasant experience.”

Gesupply.com is the Web site of Shelton, Conn., based GE Supply, the electrical, voice and data products distribution business of General Electric Co. More than 20,000 businesses and individuals have become registered gesupply.com users since the site went live last fall.
