Crawford Electric Supply Co. (CESCO) was the recipient of the Dallas 100 Awards on November 1, 2000 at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center in Dallas. CESCO is one of only two companies in the metroplex that has won this award six times in the last ten years.

The awards celebrate the ideas, determination and persistence of area entrepreneurs. The diversity of the businesses receiving the awards is indicative of the broad-based economic growth in the Dallas area.

The selection of the Dallas 100 was based on the following criteria:

- The company must be an independent, privately held corporation, proprietorship or partnership, not a subsidiary or division of a parent company.

- The company must be headquartered in the Dallas metroplex area. The company must have sales of more than $500,000, but less than $50 million in fiscal 1997.

- The company must have a three-year sales history with an increase in fiscal 1999. The company must have a credit report satisfactory to The Dallas 100.

The Dallas 100 Award was presented by the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business and the CEO Institute.
