The Thomas & Betts 2002 Signature Awards program honors and rewards the innovation and resourcefulness of the best among electrical industry professionals, rewarding the achievements of contractors, electrical companies and apprentices. The Signature Awards include three categories of recognition:

• Electrical Professional of the Year
• Electrical Company of the Year
• Student/Apprentice of the Year

The winners receive great prizes in addition to national recognition. The Electrical Professional of the Year wins a new Ford service truck complete with company logos. The Electrical Company of the Year is awarded a computer system upgrade for its facility. The Student Apprentice of the Year will receive a laptop computer and a set of electrician's tools.

The deadline for all entries is February 28, 2003. Winners are chosen by a committee of editors from EC&M and Electrical Wholesaling magazines, co-sponsors of the Signature Awards program. Winners will be honored at the 2003 National Association of Electrical Distributors annual meeting next spring.

Signature Award entrants for the Electrical Professional of the Year must provide an example(s) of creative problem solving or techniques applied to their work. Applications for Electrical Company of the Year need to provide an example of an innovative business solution or strategy implemented by the company. Applicants for Student/Apprentice of the Year should explain why they've chosen the electrical industry for their career and how their experiences have affirmed that choice. Entrants who have helped advance the industry or helped their community in some way should note their contribution in the application.

Enter the 2002 Thomas & Betts Signature Awards Competition by mail or online. To enter online, visit the Thomas Betts Web site at www.tnb.com and click on the 2002 Signature Awards entry button. Complete the entry form online, making sure to identify the appropriate category for the entry. Entrants will receive an electronic confirmation and periodic updates.

To enter by mail, use the form available through your Thomas & Betts distributor or request a form by mail from HB&M, 520 S. Front St., Philadelphia, PA 19147. Fill out the form and attach it to a separate piece of paper with an explanation of the action or situation that qualifies for the 2002 Signature Awards.
