Software Solutions, Inc., Duluth, Ga., has released a new version of its FACTS distribution management software. Based on the inventory management principles of industry expert Gordon Graham, the software helps distributors maintain a minimum investment in inventory through system-calculated order controls and optimum replenishment activity. Other features include automated backorder fulfillment, ties between sales orders and purchase orders, plus analysis tools for distribution management.

FACTS 6.07, the latest version, is the first release to take advantage of the ProvideX development environment, which allows program developers to use high-level, object-oriented programming for quick, low-maintenance application changes.

FACTS thin client/server model allows it to meet the needs of large multi-branch distributors. It is supported on Microsoft Window NT, multiple versions of UNIX (serial or network connections), and with any combination of character terminal or graphical PCs.
