The Syracuse, N.Y.-based company is providing the software, Simply Sensors, for free through its Web site at www.passandseymour.com. The Windows-based program allows users to select from seven common commercial applications and then choose the quantity and types of sensors needed. It provides complete product photos, wiring diagrams, illustrations of coverage patterns, and installation and operating instructions. The software also generates sample specifications that can be customized. Warnings appear in pop-up windows if improper usage information is entered by a user.
