Expanding into central Pennsylvania, Fromm Electric Supply, Reading, Pa., has acquired Harrisburg Electrical Supplies Co., Harrisburg, Pa.

Harrisburg Electrical, with 11 employees and about $5 million in annual sales, has one location. The company also has a division that distributes home appliances to builders, property management companies and kitchen fabricators throughout eastern and central Pennsylvania.

Fromm Electric had a small branch on the fringe of central Pennsylvania for about 10 years, but did not cover the Harrisburg market, said Michael Fromm, the company's president and CEO.

Harrisburg Electrical will operate under its current name for the foreseeable future. The current management staff will remain in place until Fromm Electric has a chance to fully evaluate the needs of the business, said Fromm.
