Steve Gallagher, principal, Synergy Electrical Sales, Fairless Hills, Pa.; and Jack Floyd, principal, Downie, Turner & Buress of Maryland, Columbia, Md., won Electrical Wholesaling's 2001 Rep GEM Awards. Gallagher (left) was presented with the GEM Rising Star Award by EW Publisher Bob MacArthur (center) for the potential and leadership that he has shown during the early years of his career as an independent manufacturers' rep. Jack Floyd (right) won a GEM Award for the management, sales and marketing skills that he has used to diversify his company and for the leadership role he has assumed in the National Electrical Manufacturers Representatives Association, Tarrytown, N.Y. Gallagher and Floyd received their awards at the NEMRA Annual Conference held in Boston in late March.
