Getting Specific

Gail Johnson

Leviton Mfg. Co., Inc., Little Neck, N.Y. has introduced its Industrial Product Customization program. Designed to address the site-specific needs of industrial-facilities managers wanting a custom solution to MRO and OEM wiring-device applications, the program allows facilities managers to have select industrial products tailored to their specialized needs, eliminating reliance on traditional "off-the-shelf" products.

Product groups that can be customized to meet special requirements include industrial plugs and connectors, GFCI products, surge protective devices, thermoplastic and metal wallplates, and receptacles. Features that can be customized vary from product to product, but generally include custom markings and color variations, as well as customer-specified packaging and unique UPC or bar coding. A selection of factory-assembled industrial cord sets offering termination with industrial plugs and connectors or Wetguard plugs and connectors (for use in damp or wet applications) are also an integral component of the program. The cord sets feature 16/3 or 14/3 American Mustang SOW-A cord, straight-blade or locking devices and cord-length options ranging from 25 to 100 ft. For more information call 800-824-3005.
