Griffith Electric Supply Co. Inc., of Trenton, N.J., celebrated 65 years in business with an open house on Sept. 17. The distributor played host to more than 400 guests and 100 vendors at the event. All guests received a replica 1929 Model-A truck with the Griffith logo and other prizes donated by the distributor's vendors.

Meta Griffith and her husband, Bill, founded Griffith Electric in 1938. Meta Griffith took the reins in 1971 when her husband died. Today, she is assisted by Chief Operating Officer Bill Goodwin.

Griffith Electric, with 47 employees and one location, has annual sales between $13 million and $15 million.
