HUGHES SUPPLY GOLF TOURNAMENT RAISES $125,000

The Hughes Supply Foundation Inc., a charitable affiliate of Hughes Supply Inc., Orlando, Fla., hosted its 4th Annual Golf Tournament in April. With 228 players, the event raised more than $125,000 — exceeding the amount raised last year.
“Being a good corporate citizen is tremendously important in our company's culture,” said Monroe Harrison, Hughes Supply Foundation administrator. “The Hughes Supply Foundation and the money raised at the golf tournament enables us to be a good neighbor by supporting families in need and organizations like Ronald McDonald House, Coalition for the Homeless, Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, Habitat for Humanity and Nap Ford Community School.”
Formed in October 1999, the Hughes Supply Foundation supports organizations and individuals in areas where Hughes Supply Inc. does business. The Foundation enables families who are at risk to obtain the education and resources they need to achieve success, escape poverty and alleviate urgent distress.
