King Safety Products Awarded ISO 9002 Registration

Mar 1, 2002 12:00 PM

King Safety Products, St. Louis, received International Standards Organization (ISO) 9002 registration from Perry Johnson Registrars Inc., an accredited quality system audit and certification body. In addition, King Safety Products has been awarded Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) status on several of its products.

ISO is a worldwide network of national standards institutes from 140 countries working in partnership with international organizations, governments, industries, businesses and consumer representatives. The ISO 9002 registration denotes achievement and adherence to the highest international standards of quality assurance developed by ISO. In addition to ensuring the quality and uniformity of product, employing ISO practices is a cost-effective means to maximize efficiency, thereby cutting unnecessary costs and increasing overall profitability.

Fueled by an increasingly competitive marketplace — as more and more companies are recognizing the benefits of ISO compliance — ISO registration is becoming even more necessary as product distributors look to see if a company is ISO registered when making their buying decisions.

King Safety also achieved UL status for public safety on a number of its product lines, including wire connectors, insulating tape, wire-pulling compounds and repackaged electrical construction equipment.
