Klein Tools flying high with air-show sponsorship Jun 1, 2001 12:00 PM Many manufacturers sponsor race cars, but Klein Tools Inc., Chicago, recently announced a major sponsorship association with Michael Mancuso Air Shows of Long Island, N.Y. Michael Mancuso, who has been an aerobatics pilot for a number of years, will perform solo at selected major air shows and other special events this season in the Klein Tools Extra 300L aerobatics aircraft. For the last three seasons Mancuso was part of the Canadian Lights Aerobatics Team. Richard T. Klein Jr., Klein Tools president and chief executive officer, noted that sponsorship of precision flying and aerobatics is a means of highlighting the Klein Tools philosophy of creating durable and precision hand tools through engineering. “We produce our products for various highly skilled professionals such as electricians, utility workers, construction workers, and aeronautical instrumentation and aircraft technicians,” said Klein. “These professional users, whose daily livelihoods depend on their tools, recognize and appreciate the value of durable precision products. Klein's association with Michael Mancuso Air Shows, where skillful professional execution by the pilot is dependent on precise, reliable and durable equipment, underscores the similar quality commitment to aid performance that Klein Tools must make to the professional users of its products.” Acceptable Use Policy blog comments powered by Disqus |
