The “Smart Community” campaign kicks off with the release of the 2011 “Captain Code” Pocket-Guide to the NE Code Changes. The Captain Code guide is used in conjunction with the 2011 National Fire Prevention Association's National Electrical Code Manual and features Leviton's iconic Captain Code explaining critical changes in the 2011 NEC manual that relate to wiring devices and telecommunication systems. “Leviton's ‘Captain Code’ Pocket-Guide is a user-friendly tool with simple to interpret visuals and narratives and acts as a go-to tool for the busy electrical professional,” said Tom Degnan, contractor channel development manager for Leviton. “Leviton is proud to provide this guide to help ensure safety and compliance at all times.” The guide also features illustrations from industry expert and author, Mike Holt. The campaign rolls out this spring through Leviton distributors nationwide and is available immediately through Leviton's website at www.leviton.com/codebook2011. Leviton will also unveil an interactive companion website, complete with online training and an instant-reference guide cross-indexed by application and article. Leviton has also developed a Learning Lab series based on the content found in the pocket guide. Learning Lab Seminars will be held at participating Leviton distributor partner locations and presented by Leviton sales professionals. These seminars inform electrical professionals on what it takes to comply with the 2011 Code. Acceptable Use Policy blog comments powered by Disqus |
