This conference is designed for facility managers, designers and maintenance supervisors involved in specifying or maintaining lighting systems in health-care settings. The focus is on reducing energy and maintenance costs without compromising light levels or lighting quality. Session includes disposal regulations, outdoor lighting for safety and security, and new developments in lighting equipment and controls. Special topics include lighting for the aging eye, operating rooms, and trends in lighting patient rooms. The cost is $350.
May 2-3; Hospitality Lighting
This conference discusses lighting design and room air-conditioning strategies with a special emphasis on meeting the key needs of guest comfort and financial performance through energy reduction strategies. Sessions include industry trends, outdoor lighting for safety and security, national energy rebates and funds, and other lighting solutions for guest rooms, meeting rooms, and common areas. The cost is $350 and earns attendees 1.2 continuing education units.
June 15-16; Museum Lighting
Through lectures and workshops, lighting techniques and guidelines are presented for the most common museum lighting applications, with special emphasis on conservation issues. Topics include light and color, a review of the latest lighting technologies, and lighting system selection criteria. The cost is $350 and earns attendees 1.2 continuing education units.
June 28-30; Fundamentals of Commercial and Industrial Lighting
Designed for lighting industry newcomers, this conference provides basic product and application training for commercial and industrial lighting. Topics will include lighting terminology; lighting measurements and color; a review of major light source families and systems; and application modules for retail, office, industrial and outdoor lighting. The cost is $500 and earns attendees two continuing education units.
