A hundred years have passed since Americans first started converting indoor gas mantle lamps to electric lamps, and Lightolier was there.

Originally incorporated by Austrian immigrant Bernhard Blitzer as The New York Gas Appliance Co. in 1904, Lightolier has pioneered many other lighting “firsts” since then, including track lighting, recessed down lighting and dimming technologies. Happy birthday, Lightolier.
