Lightolier rolls out the red carpet Gail Johnson Dec 1, 1997 12:00 PM As part of the product launch for Lytening, a new recessed downlight, Lightolier, Fall River, Mass., hosted at its headquarters more than 400 key customers from the company's national distributor network. Guests were flown in, in two groups, for an intensive two-day mixture of presentations, hands-on training and hospitality. During the sessions the company outlined plans for Lytening and the key role the company hopes distributors will play in "partnering" with Lightolier. Introduction of the Lytening downlight, part of the company's Lytecaster line, was presented under the heading "The Third Wave," the third stage in a multi-year program to extend the company's business and customer profile.
