Buddy Klein, former vice president of sales of Professional Electrical Products Co. (PEPCO), turned 80 Dec. 3.

Buddy has been a sales leader in the electrical industry for more than 57 years.

Originally, he started his career in 1952 with Milner Electric as a city counterman. He then joined Leff Electric in 1954 as a salesman and left in 1958 to help found Professional Electrical Products Company (PEPCO) as vice president of sales. Through Buddy's sales leadership, he helped PEPCO become the largest electrical wholesaler in northeast Ohio.

In 1992, Buddy retired from PEPCO, for a short period of time, and then joined Calvert Wire & Cable to help lead their aggressive growth effort. Buddy was instrumental in helping grow sales from $8 million to more than $90 million today.

At 80 years old, Buddy is still active negotiating with customers and vendors on a daily basis.
