MONARCH ELECTRIC CUSTOMER WINS T&B CONTEST Mar 1, 2004 12:00 PM A customer of Monarch Electric Co., West Caldwell, N.J., won the grand prize for the Thomas & Betts Code Keeper promotion. Partnering with more than 3,000 distributors across the country, Thomas & Betts (T&B), Memphis, Tenn., promoted its new Code Keeper with a national contest held from August through December 2003. The Code Keeper is a transparent plastic cover that comes in single or two-gang kits accommodating up to eight configurations and helps contractors meet NEC Code for outdoor electrical outlets. Customers who purchased a Code Keeper received a contest entry form, generating the chance to win a grand prize three-day trip to the Grand Cayman Islands. David Houmis, owner of DAVCO Electric Co. Inc., Fairfield, N.J., won the grand prize as a result of his Code Keeper purchase from Monarch Electric.
