New BlueVolt Course Teaches Electrical Safety in the Workplace Nov 1, 2007 12:00 PM BlueVolt, Portland, Ore., launched a new Electrical Safety in the Workplace online training course based on National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E requirements. Every year workers are injured or killed by electricity from circuits they believe are safe. In this interactive course for professional electricians, students learn and practice critical safety skills that could save their lives or that of a co-worker. NFPA 70E is quickly becoming a standard training requirement by manufacturing facilities, contractors and MRO facilities. Industry experts, in partnership with the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) and BlueVolt, developed this course with interactive lessons to provide an engaging experience, making it easier for trainees to understand the hazards of working on or near live parts. The course is available online now at the NJATC University powered by BlueVolt.com, where learners access the training material at their convenience, on their own schedule. “BlueVolt's new Electrical Safety in the Workplace online training course addresses the training needs and requirements that are quickly becoming a standard in many industries,” said Don Spear, president, BlueVolt.
