Kennedy Electric Supply Corp., Jamaica, N.Y., has opened a branch on Long Island in Garden City Park, N.Y. This third branch will have a "Contractor Communication Center" that offers Internet access, copier, fax, phone, catalogs, estimation software, etc., free to contractors who meet certain sales criteria or to others for a nominal fee. Another customer perk the new branch boasts is an "after-hours closet" located in the rear parking lot of the building that will allow contractors to pick up material before or after normal operating hours, via a one-time electronic access code supplied at the time an order is placed. Also, the Kennedy Lighting Division, now located in Jamaica, will be moving to the Long Island location.
