North Coast Electric Co.'s Holiday Harvest Food and Funds Drive exceeded expectations for 2003. In November, employees from North Coast's 27 locations in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska collected more than 6,000 pounds of food and $3,387 in cash donations. The donations were given to local food banks.

One of the distributor's vendors, Greenlee, pitched in by coordinating the use of its job boxes, which served as the collection bins for the food drive.

North Coast Electric Co., with headquarters in Bellevue, Wash., and $201 million in sales for 2002, was No. 23 on Electrical Wholesaling's most recent Top 200 list.
