NORTH COAST ELECTRIC SPONSORS HEART WALK Dec 1, 2004 12:00 PM More than 100 North Coast Electric employees and their families put on their walking shoes for the 2004 American Heart Walk, which was held in Seattle in October. North Coast Electric, Bellevue, Wash., was one of the top fundraising companies for the 2004 Puget Sound American Heart Association Heart Walk, contributing $23,000. As a sponsor of the event, North Coast Electric contributed $5,000; the electrical distributor's employees raised another $18,000. “We exceeded our own fundraising expectations by a landslide,” said Peter Lemman, North Coast's president. “Our goal was to raise $15,000.” Osram Sylvania also partnered with North Coast Electric to raise an additional $15,000 to fight heart disease and stroke. Sylvania participated in the North Coast program called “Lamps for Life.” In exchange for a $1 donation to the American Heart Association, customers received a free Energy Star Sylvania CF13EL/2,700K lamp. Ranked No. 21 on Electrical Wholesaling's most recent “Top 200,” North Coast Electric is a family-owned and operated full-line electrical distributor with 25 service centers across the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Arizona.
