Aug 1, 2010 12:00 PM

NorthEast Electrical Distributors, Canton, Mass., a subsidiary of Sonepar USA, said it's relocating its central distribution center and corporate offices to a new site at 560 Oak St., Brockton, Mass. The facility was developed with the latest energy-efficient lighting and controls, modern warehouse and logistics and a fully equipped 70-seat training center with extensive audiovisual capabilities. The CDC operations in Canton will be closed later this year.

The 200,000-square-foot Brockton distribution center will stock over 35,000 SKUs available to customers throughout NorthEast's 32 New England branches across six states. The CDC also has a fully merchandised service counter and will-call area. The site will also be home to NorthEast's Industrial & Construction operations.

Don Block, president of NorthEast Electrical Distributors, said the new facility “features advanced energy-efficient lighting in our warehouse, offices, and LED parking lot and exterior building lighting. We designed our new building to show that we practice what we preach in terms of lighting efficiency.”
