NorthEast/Eagle Brighten the Holidays for Three Families Jan 1, 2007 12:00 PM NorthEast Electrical Distributors and Eagle Electric Supply, Canton, Mass.-based divisions of Sonepar USA, adopted three families for Christmas through the Catholic Charities of Boston. The effort was coordinated by Kathy O'Rourke, the group's human resources manager. Each of the families supplied a “wish list” consisting of toys, winter coats, hats and clothing. A tree was decorated with ornaments representing items from the families' lists for employees to choose gifts to donate. “We had an overwhelming response from our employees.” O'Rourke said. “We were able to provide the families with all of the items from their lists and many additional items such as grocery store gift cards. It is so rewarding to give back and support a local organization that works hard to care for those less fortunate.” Got an Item for Bulletin Board?
