Louis Sachs, former president of Sachs Electric, St. Louis, one of the nation's largest electrical contractors, died on May 27 at age 83. He was a well-known philanthropist in the St. Louis area, and was a past board member of Barnes Jewish Hospital, Junior Achievement, Maryville University, Missouri Botanical Gardens, St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis Council of Boy Scouts, St. Louis Symphony and the Washington University. According to his obituary in the St. Louis Post Dispatch, he is survived by his wife, Mary Sachs; his children, Stephen Sachs and wife Madeline of St. Louis, Susan Sachs of River Forest, Ill., Charish Campbell and husband Lawrence; a brother, Richard Sachs, and his wife Chang of Gold River, Calif.; and numerous grandchildren.
