In an effort to support a valuable community resource, electrical manufacturer Orbit Industries/UMI recently donated materials and manpower to upgrade electrical systems at Canyon Acres, a center for neglected, abused and emotionally troubled children.

Canyon Acres is located on a ranch in the Anaheim Hills of Southern California, where it has served the community for 25 years with a residential treatment center, family counseling, foster care and adoption services.

“This gift from Orbit was very timely and appreciated by our staff and residents,” says Clete Menke, executive director at Canyon Acres. “We were able to illuminate the barn and ranch house where we sponsor a therapeutic riding program that the children very much enjoy. We depend on the community and volunteers, like the staff from Orbit, to help support our programs and services.”
