Moving back into the high-voltage and utility market, PEPCO (Professional Electric Products Co.), Eastlake, Ohio, made its first acquisition last month with the purchase of Electrical EquipmentCo., Macedonia, Ohio. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition takes PEPCO back into the utility market and diversifies its electrical and datacom product lines.

Electrical Equipment Co., with 1998 sales of about $9 million and 15 employees, will move into PEPCO's Eastlake corporate facility as the company's High-Voltage/Utility Division. Rob Winings, Sr., former owner of Electrical Equipment Co., will remain as a consultant.
