POWER/HAND-TOOL DEMAND TO REACH $15.4 BILLION Oct 1, 2003 12:00 PM The demand for power and hand tools in the United States is forecast to increase nearly 5 percent annually (including price increases) to $15.4 billion in 2007, according to a new study, Power & Hand Tools, from The Freedonia Group Inc., a Cleveland-based industrial market research firm. Hand-tool demand is limited by the inherent durability of these products. Unlike power tools, common household tools such as hammers frequently outlive their owners, dampening replacement demand.
