PromosOnline launched to offer customized promotional materials Jul 1, 2002 12:00 PM Eric Mower and Associates, Syracuse, N.Y., has hit the market with PromosOnline, an Internet-based marketing tool enabling electrical distributors and manufacturers to create customized merchandising materials, marketing communications pieces, PowerPoint presentations and direct HTML e-mails. Distributors can use the new service to customize promotions for each branch, while manufacturers can customize marketing materials by distributor. To personalize the marketing materials, users access a secure Web site through the sponsor's Web site address, where they design and customize the materials. Once users finish their customized materials, they send the file to a digital output post of their choice. “For many years, our clients have been looking for a quicker, more cost-effective way to manage their promotional programs,” said John Favalo, managing partner of EMA's B-to-B Services Group. “PromosOnline lets a distributor rapidly kick-off an effective promotion within 24 hours of selecting the necessary materials.” As a proprietary Application Service Provider, PromosOnline requires no local software installation or maintenance. In addition, distributors do not need a local computer with enough horsepower to handle high-resolution graphics. Manufacturers can use PromosOnline to control the creative selections offered distributors by creating a consistent message and maintaining brand integrity while managing co-op resources more effectively and reducing printing costs.
