To expand its presence in the tile and floor covering markets, Prophet 21 Inc., Yardley, Pa., has acquired Systems Design Inc., South Holland, III.

Systems Design's products and services will be supported, developed, marketed and sold by Prophet 21. Founded in 1976, Systems Design provides the Prism enterprise software solution and other services for 238 U.S. and Canadian distributors in the tile and floor covering and other durable goods industries.

This is the second acquisition Prophet 21 has made this year. In June, the company acquired Faspac Systems, a leading technology provider for fastener distributors.
