Q-Tran Recognized by IES Jan 1, 2009 12:00 PM Q-Tran Inc., Bridgeport, Conn., manufacturer of power supply systems and transformers for low-voltage, LED and landscape lighting, got some recognition from the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), being featured in the organization's annual Progress Report. Q-Tran's Q-Set transformer cassettes and Q-Vault direct-burial housing products were selected and announced at IESNA's November meeting, marking the third time in the past six years Q-Tran has had products selected for the Progress Report. “Selection in the Progress Report is a tremendous honor for our company — especially for our design and engineering team,” said Gean Tremaine, vice president of sales and marketing. IES's Progress Committee, a panel of 28 lighting experts, solicits entries every year for the most innovative and significant lighting-related technologies and selects those it considers most significant for inclusion in the Progress Report.
